S.S.’s Story

I am a single mom working in the medical field as a medical assistant. This grant will allow me to continue to work and care for people during this pandemic and allow my children to go to school and get a education they deserve. I am not equipped to teach my children and I thank the teachers out there who continue to pour into my children when I cannot. A lot of people in healthcare are facing tough decisions between their career and their children. Rright now we need our health care workers more now than ever. I am prepared to quit my job and care for my children but if there is a opportunity where I don’t have to then ‘Im going to try because right now we need all people on deck during the pandemic and flu season around the corner.
