Our family was excited to learn about SAFE Grants. We have 4 kids and have home schooled them all until recently. Moving from home school to a public school would have been a huge adjustment especially because 3 of my kids have some learning issues. We started out at a public charter high school for the two older children. It simply was not a good fit and it took a long time for my kids to recover from the stress of that experience. We moved them to a private school. I feel like I watched my daughter go from a tightly closed flower bud to a full bloom beauty. She started laughing again and enjoying life. Now we are ready to move our 3rd child from home school to this same private school, which is a huge sacrifice. This grant would mean so much to our family in allowing us to have all 3 at this private institution.
