S.G.’s Story

I am a single parent of 7 children (2 college students and 5 school age children) and entrepreneur of over 16 years. My children have varying talents, learning styles, social and health needs. I have successfully through school choice provided each child with an educational opportunity meeting their unique needs. One of my children attend public school, one free public charter, but 3 have attended private school for 2 years. Pre-Pandemic I worked as a contractor for state and federal education programs throughout the national to support the credentialing of practitioners. Unfortunately my contract work has seized due to these programs being impacted by COVID and the uncertainty of the state of early education as an industry. I am the sole provider of our family and the SAFE Grant would allow for stability in the learning environment for my children.
