This grant would help my family tremendously. I am a 56 year old widowed mom of two boys aged 14 and 11. My children were enrolled in public schools in the area that we live and were bullied so badly that we decided to enroll them in a virtual school. My husband passed away 5 years ago and I had to return to the workforce. I now teach at the private school that my children attend. I do not get a break on tuition because I’m employed there. I’m trying to send 2 children to private school on a teachers salary while paying tuition. I basically work to pay tuition. I understand that I could send them to public schools but for me it is worth every penny to know they are happy and not afraid to go to school. As I stated before, this would help our family out a great deal and take a lot of burden off my shoulders.
