M.M.’s Story

Our son was just diagnosed with dyslexia that had gone undetected while he struggled in a public school setting. We can not really afford private school but I had to do something. In his first year at an independent school, they immediately knew something was off and demanded testing. He was in 8th grade last year and was reading on a 3rd grade level which is when the problems at school began. He is just beginning to bridge the gap between what his capable of doing and what he actually does. Because of COVID, we were unsure if we would financially be able to send him this year. This grant would mean that we can keep our son at a school where he is getting all the help needed so that he may become the best version of himself.
