L.M.’s Story

I’m a single mother that gets no financial help from my child’s father. We live in one of the poorest counties in the state, not the mention the public school has failed us and our children. Covid-19 has effected every aspect of our lives. My child deserves a better education and that is why I’m asking for a SAFE Grant. If I don’t work the bills don’t get paid and there are times when sacrifices have to be made when prioritizing the things that are important for my child’s education. At times ends don’t meet because of the sacrifices that I have to make. These grants are so important to mothers like me who want a better life for our children.
