We have one child who is a senior. His tuition is approximately $14,000 a year and we were more than thrilled to hear about this grant money, especially since my husbands business (food related) was shut down because of the pandemic. The fact that Governor McMaster wanted to award the money for this reason was wonderful!! I’m a teacher in a public school and I see how money is spent. People may assume students who attend private schools are little rich kids, but trust me, that’s not the case. We wanted a religious education, mainly, which of course is not an option in the public schools. Awarding families I believe is a great way to allocate the funds and I hope it works out.
