K.K.’s Story

I know that we have chosen as a family to send our child to a private school. I agree with those in opposition of this grant that public money should go to public schools. However, we have not asked for a tax break since our child does not utilize public schools that we still pay taxes to support the public schools that our child does not go to. COVID has taken a huge toll on our family. I work for my family’s restaurant that has been closed and once reopened, had restrictions put in place that further hinder our income. Furthermore, private schools employ hundreds if not thousands of South Carolina residents that also support the public school system. We appreciate all that you are doing to assist our family.
