In the wake of COVID-19, I was furloughed from my job as a registered nurse in the ER due to decreased patient volume related to quarantine measures. The temporary pause in my career made it difficult to ensure private school payments were made to keep my 3 children in the school they have been attending for the past 3 years. Since our patient volume has returned, I have gone back to work and I am playing catch up for this upcoming school year. The SAFE Grant would be a tremendous help to my family if we are selected.
