J.B.’s Story

I was thrilled when Governor Mcmaster announced the SAFE Grant program for South Carolina. I immediately began researching schools for my 9th grader to attend. My son is so excited about attaending a new school. Then, in a blink of an eye, all of our expectations were taken away because of the restraining order blocking SAFE Grants. I’m a single mother on a fixed income due to a work related injury that required surgery and he will not be able to go now because I can’t afford it.
