We are a low-income family and we have never had many options for schooling because of finances. My husband works hard but we have 4 kids and I have chronic conditions that have taken much of our income the last couple of years. We put our kids in public school last year from homeschool because of my health. It was ok but lacking in a few areas. One of my kids has been labeled a genius, but he’s also very sensitive to his classroom setting and found public school overwhelming. If we got the SAFE Grant, we’d have the option of sending them to a very small private school where they can get more individual help they need to really learn and grow.
