When we moved eight years ago I was surprised to learn that the elementary school we were zoned for got a 3/10 on the school rating system. Private school wasnt an option for us because we couldnt afford it, so I decided to homeschool my children. I figured since I have a degree in early childhood and elementary education I could do a better job than 3/10. I’ve been taking homeschool one year at a time. Each year, I consider my options, and each year I have none so I homeschool again. This year, with the SAFE Grant I finally have options! Im excited for my children to have the opportunity to get a good education in a safe environment.
