As a working mother in the healthcare field, I have not had the opportunity to work from home like many other Americans have. My three children (all under the age of 11) are not of an appropriate age or maturity level to leave home alone. This rules out a hybrid model and virtual learning for our family. My kids need to be in school five days a week. I am agreeable to precautions for in-person learning. However, I have seen first hand with my children and the families that I work with what being off of a regular school schedule and without appropriate instruction does to the well being of a child. It is not healthy. Please continue to fight for our kids to receive the education that is essential to their learning and survival.
