I want to share how this grant will assist me and my daughter. My daughter has been attending a Catholic school since she was 3 years old. At the time, I was married and tuition was not an issue. I am a member of a Catholic Church as a parishioner so I did receive a discount. Fast Foward to now, I am now divorced and paying tuition as a single mother during a time where my paycheck was decreased due to the pandemic and I lost my second job in March. I pay city and state taxes just like everyone else. I know that my tax money supports public school even though my daughter does not attend there. I have never made an issue of it. I choose Catholic education for my daughter because I believe in it and she receives the one on one assistance for some of the reading issues that she has that she would not get in a public school.
