A.T.’s Story

I have a dream that all schools will be treated as equals and that the money of the parents can follow the students to the school they feel best prepares their children. Many families can’t afford to send their children to a school of their choice. What an opportunity for low-income parents. I sacrifice and pay twice for my child’s education. I pay through my taxes and then I out of my pocket because the public schools are not doing a good job and their values are not the same as mine. It’s a false assumption that giving public schools more money will solve our educational problems. Schools should compete in their quality of education by letting the money follow the child. I guarantee that SC education will only benefit. Please pass this grant for so many who would love to go to a different school but have no other choice.
