Like so many of our fellow humans across the globe, our family has been hard-hit by the impacts of the Novel Coronavirus. Our sons, ages 8 and 11, have attended a Catholic school here in SC for the past 3 years. We’re a Catholic family and we’ve paid for their education through self-sacrifice and hard work. My husband, a chef, and I, a dance teacher have lost a large amount of our work and income. In my case, it has ended indefinitely and our already precarious finances are stretched as we try to figure out new sources of income, making it impossible to keep our children in the only school they’ve known here. We’re stoical, never ones to ask for anything that we could not provide for by ourselves, but when we heard of this grant we saw there was a possibility for our children to continue down the path we chose carefully. Please consider our children in your decision-making. Thank you.
