In our county, sending our children to the public school options would be handicapping them and severely limiting thier future. We struggle as a one income family, but have a strong desire to see our children succeed. To achieve this, we have sacrificed in order to send them to private school. We are so appreciative of the hard work Governor McMaster is doing to help low income families have a better choice in rural areas. To those who oppose monies going to private schools, my reply is, I pay taxes EVERY year that go to public schools where my children will never benefit. Current public school systems should be help more accountable for those funds before they begin to look at a one-time assistance program. Especially those counties (like ours) where the ONLY middle and high school both have D+ ratings.
