My husband is active duty military & is deployed overseas. Our children are enrolled in a private school in Aiken County that provides special accommodations for our son who struggled in public school after numerous military moves. I have spent 2 years completing requirements to become a public educator in South Carolina to keep our son in this special school. Unfortunately, the state has not processed my certification yet & I was not able to secure a full time job for this school year. This SAFE Grant would take the financial burden off our shoulders while my husband is overseas & I am looking for full time employment. It will allow us to keep our children in a private school instead of putting them in our strained public schools that are over capacity. Please help us get this grant!
