Thank you to those who participated in last week’s National School Choice Week celebrations!

It was a very special and jam-packed week as states from coast to coast celebrated expanding education opportunities for students.

Here are some of the highlights, along with links, so you can go back and see what you missed!

January 22nd – National School Choice Week Fair

On Saturday, parents had the opportunity to learn about the various education options available to them in the Lowcountry – public, private, and homeschool! Parents received school supplies and students participated in various activities throughout the day.

January 26th – Virtual Celebration

We held an online event for all families featuring some amazing participating schools, parents, and lawmakers all celebrating education options, which you can watch here. Governor Henry McMaster also provided an official South Carolina School Choice Week Proclamation!

Education Scholarship Accounts (ESAs) moving in Columbia!

We’re also glad to report that South Carolina’s school choice celebrations are being paired with legislative action. Committee hearings to create Education Scholarship Accounts (ESAs) continue to move forward in both the South Carolina Senate and House.

The race to the finish line is on…which legislative chamber can be the first to open up this new path to opportunity for students in the Palmetto State? Stay tuned as the push to “Get it thru in ’22” continues!

We’re excited for what this year has in store for our children. We’ll keep you posted as education choice marches on across South Carolina.
